Friends ex is threatening court. There are DV issues but unreported. He doesn't want to see the two boys who are young teens and who he hasn't seen in years by his own decision and wasn't interested in their school, previously said he didn't care but now wants their school details and address so he can give the details to his brothers who the kids have never met.

It varies but 4-6 weeks is average I believe. He would need to attempt mediation first.

I was asked to consider mediation in October. Declined (DV). The court date came through for early Jan so, yes, 4-6 weeks.

Depends how quickly...

A) you get the mediation referral out and acknowledged
B) how quickly the parties attend
C) if you remember first time to get page 19 of the form c100 signed by the mediator
D) how quickly you get the c100 out.

If you get the c100 out with a correct fee exemption form on the same day you get the page 19 from the mediator you can get a date within 3 weeks, we often get dates back within 2 weeks as our local mediator is VERY swift in getting people in. If you send a cheque this extends the wait.
