Blocking phone number

I am getting calls from my partners ex that are causing me a lot of distress.
The calls can happen at any time and will quite often be in excess of 5 calls in a row. If I don't answer the phone line is tied up as the phone keeps ringing. My partner has requested several time severally and in writing that the calls stop. My partner also receives many of these calls too.
The number has now been blocked but I am concerned that this will effect the court case that is ongoing (children's contact) as this will make the children uncountable when with us. They will be able to phone the other parent as often as they want to through.

Could blocking the calls be detrimental to court case?

Sorry just browsing before posting a query of my own. Could you not get a cheap PAYG phone that you would have switched on for the period of time the children were in your care?

Get a pay as you go phone, give that number only. When contact is proceeding have it on. Otherwise turn it off.

as with the other comments. we had this problem, so got a pay as you go phone and sim. its on all day (on silent) and we just check it morning and night. ExW thrived on drama and since we did that she only gets in touch when necessary
