Hi everyone I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place.
I bought a carpet Last summer (9months ago) and a few months ago it started to come away at the edges. The only way I can't think to describe it is like it's shrunk but we've never cleaned it and even if we had used rug doctor like we have in the past with previous carpets surely a non wool middle of the range carpet should not be shrinking?
I went back to the carpet place on Saturday and he said he'd send the fitter out, the fitter came yesterday and said he's never seen anything like it, well neither have I.
I'm just wondering where we stand with this as today on the phone the guy was kind of hinting towards that we had cleaned it or something as he's been in the business's 50years and never seen a carpet go
Like it.
I'm annoyed as usually we just buy cheap carpets but this time I paid more so it would last and this has happened.
It's a small independent store and we went to them because I wanted to support the local businesses but now I'm wondering whether this will backfire as they have no head office to take it further?
