New boiler broke four times in the first six months. Am I entitled to a replacement?

I had a new Glow Worm boiler installed and it has broken four times already. They keep sending engineers and replacing parts. However, I fear that this will keep happening after my warantee runs out.vIt is obvious that this boiler is not functioning. The company keeps ignoring my requests for replacement. I believe that I have the right to one. Please, help!

In law, you have a right to own a decent boiler for the money you've paid.

The question is whether or not in the near future they'll be able to get it running like a newish boiler should run or if it's going to continue to break down.

The chances are they'll sort it out before the warranty expires and it will work like a charm but, if they don't, you are most surely entitled to have it replaced - or, at the very least, repaired properly once and for all.

In the meantime, it's not possible to give you detailed advice because this isn't a case of something having simply given up the ghost or of something failing permanently to function properly shortly after purchase.

If the saga continues, the Citizens Advice Bureau is the place to go, as you can explain all the facts to them and show them any documentation you have relating to the breakdowns and the repairs.
