Outstanding case in family court

My DDs father has dragged me through the family court for the past 3 years for unreasonable access to our DD, now 13. After a flurry of new demands and the subsequent court hearings which followed, he hasn't made any meaningful contact with DD since June 2013. He did not acknowledge her birthday, nor did he contact her over Xmas. I've dismissed my solicitor and his solicitor and the courts have been informed - that was in November.

I'm now in the situation where there's an open case with the family court which needs to be closed one way or the other. 7 months of no contact would prove my initial thoughts that he isn't really interested in maintaining a good relationship with his daughter at all and has just been on a power trip.

DD is keen to spend 2 weeks with him in the summer (he lives overseas and was pushing to have her for 8 weeks) but I don't particularly want to stir the hornets nest at this point in time so he starts all his crap again. I'd rather wait until the court makes a decision to either issue a court order based on the CAFCASS recommendations or to dismiss it completely and DD contacts him to make their own arrangements. Any advice welcome!
