Buyers solicitors being somewhat awkward

We're due to complete next Friday and on Monday the buyers solicitor came back to say he wanted an environmental report on our 2000 year built house as there was previously a warehouse on the site.

Our sols has stated that as development had NHBC status there wouldn't/shouldn't be any environmental/contaminated land issues.

Fast forward to y'day and we paid money to council to carry out search, but they have no records.

Buyers sols have been asked to take a view. If he comes back unwilling to accept our sols argument is there anything else that can be done?

Needless to say houses on the development have been bought and sold without issue.

Is there such a thing as an environmental indemnity policy that could be taken out if it came to it????
