A couple of months ago there was a fairly major house fire in the house next door which has caused substantial damage to the front of their house. The house is rented and was, apparently, not insured correctly as the landlord is not keen to repair any of the damage.
The house looks pretty awful as the front was wooden and is completely burnt away and panes of glass in the double glazing shattered in the fire. Plaster gone and cracked bricks clearly visible in the integral garage below. We fear we will be unable to sell our own house (although it is not damaged) as it is now semi attached to the charred remains of next door!
Is there anything we (or the tenants next door) can do to force this along? We'd been hoping to sell as I am expecting DC4 soon and we are going to be a bit squished in this house!
It's a useful navigational aid (we just direct deliveries and friends to 'next to the burnt house' and everyone finds us!) but apart from that it is not of much benefit really 
Any advice gratefully received have tried googling but can't seem to phrase my question correctly!

Oh that's a good idea CMOT it is a bit of an eyesore!
Mousy we have contacted our insurance who would be willing to cover the cost of the damage to our property but not the cost of replacing the entire front of both properties. We have linked master bedrooms over garages with wooden front panelling, entirely burnt away on their side.
We have offered to loan the landlord the money or to somehow help with the expense of getting it repaired but he isn't responding
