How do you know if Repossession Papers have been served against your tenant.

Letting Agent was managing this on our behalf, but refuses to provide an update. They have provided papers but all photocopies, have no idea how this works...does it automatically go to Court and if so who do I call to find out if they were submitted...

Thank you...

What do you mean by "Repossession Orders"?

Is it a Section 21 giving 2 months notice, or a Section 8 for rent arrears?

Your LA works for YOU, not the other way round. If they're not telling you what you need to know, march in there and demand that they do.

I am surprised that a letting agent is doing this for you. In my experience they always tell you to see a solicitor as soon as possession proceedings are needed. If the agent is trying to get a possession order it will almost certainly fail. They can't even serve a section 21 notice if they didn't get ALL the tenancy deposit protection stuff correct. I have never seen an agent even get the section 21 notice correct! Have you got a problem tenant? Are you trying to get rid of them? You need to see a solicitor.
