Lost parcel, parcelforce refusing claim

I used parcelforce to return a parcel on the 7th December. The tracking system showed it was delivered and signed for. I was waiting for a refund as theyhad to check it ws in good condition before they authorised it. Business was closed for 2 weeks over Christmas, so have spoken to them this week and they have no record of receiving it, and they have no one working there ofthe name that signed for it. The driver swears he delivered it to the company and it wasn't left anywhere.
I logged a claim yesterday, but as it is 3 days over the 30d limit they are refusing the claim.
Any idea where I can go from here? Is there any way I can argue that because it was over Christmas I should be allowed more time, or try claiming for the cost from my credit card company?
Thanks for any advice

Yes claim on credit card.

The credit card supplier is only liable if the OP paid by credit card and the amount paid was over £100.
