My husband and I are about to go to the solicitor to have our wills drawn up. I am trying to cover every eventuality and want to make sure I have thought of everything. What do you wish you had known or found out afterwards or anything you can think of that I should consider?

We did our wills recently via a mumsnetter solicitor, mumblechum, she has an advert under Marlow Wills. She basically asked me a lot of questions over the phone/email before sending draft wills

We had to think about
-who executor will be (and ask their permission)
-guardians for DC if we were both to die
-gifts/legacies - we left something to our executor as a thank you, and some monetary gifts to nieces and nephews. Also you may want to leave something to a charity.
-we discussed inheritance tax but as we're just below the threshold decided to do a simple will for now just leaving everything to each other and then on to the DCs after second death

Its quite a morbid exercise!
That's all I rememer

Hello Wills are usually quite straight forward. Give it a little thought and fill in the Wills qurstionaire. November is Will Aid Month
