I bought a pair of UGG boots on line. When they arrived - from China - they were clearly fake ( I know I know ) but they looked ok so I tried them on. Immediately, the zip broke. I emailed them and asked for a refund. They asked me to send them a photo of the boots. I just received another e mail saying that the damage is "artificial " and I can not have a refund. I paid with my bank card which is visa debit.

Is there anything I can do to get my refund ?

how much did you pay - if it was obvious from the price that they were fake
then i think you have to put it down to experience and then take them to a local shoe repair outlet and have a new zip put in

Speak to someone at consumer direct. I suspect that it wil be impossible to get your money back if they are based in China.

I think its goodbye to your money, people who deal in counterfeit goods are not honest people and unlikely to act honestly re refunds.

Trading standards may be able to point you in the right direction but online fakes are a nightmare. There are loads of google bites about spotting fake uggs as its one of the biggest scams of the lot. Many are destroyed at customs so youre lucky they arrived at all!

PS. I believe UGG boots are actually made in china, but never SHIPPED from there. Think they are sent to Oz and shipped out from there. Odd Confused
