First court hearing. Can the judge put an order on the jointly owned house?

BIL had his first court hearing. Only 15 minutes and has to go back for a full days court hearing later on to decide the sale of the house. He seems to think the judge had put a Court Order on the house at this stage, affecting the mortgage company (it is coming to the end of the mortgage in Oct with an outstanding balance-needs remortgaging) He thinks this will be registered with the court, he will ask his solicitor asap, but is this something the court would do at an initial hearing??
