Me and dp have 3 children, 6, 18month and 4 months I'm currently on maternity partner works 5/6 days a week. Just looking for opinions on how much partners help out really and if it's just me or this is whats expected. I get around 3/4 hours sleep every night, I do all the nappy changes bottle feeds bedtime routines bath night feeds and wakings, all the time including evenings and weekends. Also making tea housework etc
This is partners week: 8 ish hours of sleep every night, never does bedtime bath time night feeds waking with teething etc, comes home from work 4ish straight upstairs has an hour on bed before shower, everyday this is comes down has tea which I make I clean up sort kids get them to bed, whilst he loads up his playstation usually puts this on around 6 for like 5/6 hours doesn't move til he goes to bed. If I ask just for one thing such as can u feed our 4 month old whilst I change our toddler or have a shower he reply's I work ?? But I go to work?

Doesn't sound fair to me. I think it is down to personal expectations and how much leisure time each of you have. He may view his work as being the be all and end all. I don't. Even if he's a brain surgeon. You're both working at what you're doing.

Not its not normal. He's selfish. 6 hours of PlayStation a night whilst you look after 3 children? I couldn't put up with that at all.

Has he always been like this, and will you be returning to work?

Yeah. Not acceptable. He needs to do bedtime. Don't care if he works!
Or he takes them on his day off so you can have a day for yourself!

Put your foot down
