I have 4 children. Aged - 1,2,4,6. My partner and I really struggle at family functions. I dread it when aunt, cousins or siblings invite us to BBQs. It’s so difficult looking after my children, getting them drinks, food and trying to speak to people.
Does anyone else with 4 children find this? It’s started to give me anxiety every time we get asked to one.
TIA x
I know what you mean I have 3 young children and that's hard enough
It gets easier as they get older, make sure you encourage independence
If we go to family functions, all adults usually muck in and help all kids. Wouldn’t grandparents/aunts etc help get them their food/drinks/hold the little one etc?
Yes! Agree completely.
I often make excuses. I can’t relax and would rather be at home.
