Please tell me which car you have which fits in both mom and dad comfortably and three car seats?

Particularly prefer a higher end car brand and a 4x4

Thanks!

We have a Toyota corolla verso , not a 4x4 but a powerful family car with plenty of room for 5 with great boot space , fantastic on fuel and amazing for long journeys , we've had it from new and its never let us down . We cant justify getting a new one as this one keeps on going . Fantastic family car

@Monday55
Yes unfortunately range rovers have made their outer back seats large and the middle small so I felt like they couldn’t fit within how the seatbelts are- Literally the evoque, velar, sport and So even if one child was in the front it’s too tight for an adult in the middle in the back Confused

I will check out the Audi’s

VW Sharan. Genuine 7 seater with isofix in everything but the drivers seat. Can have three seats across one row, and with sliding doors and plenty of space, you can easily get kids belted in. The kids can walk straight through the clear footwell so all can exit at either side depending on what’s safest for where you’ve parked. So many 7 seaters have 6th and 7th seats which aren’t suited to adults or are only practical occasionally.

Sorry, not a 4x4 though. I struggled to find a 4x4 that was a genuine full time 7 seater.

You could look at LR Discovery or Skoda Kodiak.

Vw Sharan! My three sit in the middle row normally giving us a huge boot. The rear seats in the boot space are roomier than most 7 seaters too (and are also isofix). I love the sliding doors.
Seat Alhambra is the same design.

We've got a land rover diacovery. It fits 3 in the back but not sure if 3 car seats would fit. It does have 2 extra seats in the boot though that are handy. We test drove it with the car seat and other kids to make sure they had enough space. You could do that?

Thank you I think we will take the seats with us when test driving

Not quite what you're looking for but I second what a pp said about the Toyota verso. Ours is 12 years old now, we've had it for 9 of those and it is so so reliable, it just keeps going. Great for long distance ( I'm talking thousand mile journeys, not just a couple of hours!), comfy for everyone and 2 spare seats when we need to cart friends or grandparents with us. Great boot with 5 seats in use, massive boot when the middle row of seats are folded flat.

It may not be the most exciting car in the world but is a great workhorse that has served us well.

I read a review which tested loads of cars with 3 car seats, and the Audi Q7 was the only one that fitted 3 in a row. Haven’t started testing cars yet ourselves.

Apart from people carriers that is, they probably could, but my dh refuses to drive one....

XC90?

We have an Smax and it’s really comfortable. Not a high end 4x4 but sadly you won’t find many of those that have 3 full size seats with isofix points for car seats across the middle.

Ford Expedition EL can seat 8, loads of space with all seats in we can still fit 8 people and have space for 3 huskies in the boot

I could bore for Britain about the Seat Alhambra.

We have a 2004 one and it has FIVE (count them) isofix points, a colossal boot and the seats can be shifted and configured as you see fit.

We looked at the Sharan and the CMax and we felt the Alhambra had the edge. Luckily it was also the cheapest Grin

Point of note: SEATs and VWs are fundamentally the same car now as SEAT is now owned by VW and has been for years. Big plus is that SEATs are usually 20% cheaper 👍

We had a Chrysler Grand Voyager when we had 3/4 kids still in car seats. Very comfortable for all passengers, and great boot space for pushchairs. Now they’re bigger we have a Land Rover Discovery which I much prefer to drive but, not sure how well it would have worked with them all in car seats.
