Hotels with 3 kids?

I need to book a hotel for my cousin's wedding and realised the difficulty of booking a hotel. I don't want to pay for 2 rooms as it's me, OH, my 4 year old, 2 year old and 6month old.
They all either only have the option for 0-2 kids or if there is the option online comes back saying there isn't a room suitable.
Is it frowned upon to book for 2 kids and turn up with 3 (when they're so tiny).
What do others do when booking hotels?
We end up staying randomly in hotels a bit throughout the year so need a solution!

Could you get a cot and the co sleep with the other 2?

Just book for 2 and turn up with 3 or call them, often they are happy for the baby to be added to the booking for free

I would find a hotel you like with availability for a family room, then call them before making the online booking to confirm that they'd be happy for you to stay with 3 children in the room. As your youngest will be in a cot I'm sure it would be fine and that way you can check they can also provide a cot. We've often stayed in family rooms with more than 2 children, it's just frustrating that often the websites don't allow you to select that as an option.

It's hard enough getting a family room with two children never mind three although one is a baby, no solutions. I would call the hotel to check (to see if the room is big enough & check if it's ok). You often get a better deal if you phone direct.

Thanks. I've phoned the hotel and they're fine with adding a cot.
Although I guess when they get older me and oh will have to have a room each so that every child has their own bed

I always book for 2+2, but then email and say that we have 3 children. So far, it has never been a problem.
To think it's one of the reasons people stop at 2! Confused
