Considering number 4! Am I mad??

Well, as above really! Children are 6, 4 and 12 weeks and husband stunned me with suggesting we should go for number 4 to 'even things up' and so little one has a playmate. We're both one of 4. All very lovely in theory but it took me years to convInce him about having number 3 and he was all set to have the snip once she arrived so this is more than a U turn.

I'm just trying to weigh up the pros and cons before I get my heart set either way. I'd really thought this was my last pregnancy but she's such an angel I feel I could have 10 more if they were all like her! I wouldn't want another age gap so would be looking to crack on if we do decide to go for it!

Words of wisdom (either way) would be greatly appreciated.

Have you seen my thread on this topic? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/larger_families/2653382-So-whats-it-like-going-from-3-4

I think we will probably stay with three as they are getting much harder work as they get older...,watch this space though!

I think it depends a lot on how old you are, what hours your DH works and what family support you have. I am old and knackered (I was over 40 when DC4 arrived) and DH was working long hours with a long commute so I found it hard!).

We also knew a couple of days after DC2 was born that we wanted to do it all again. DC3 was a very relaxed baby, if DC4 had been as relaxed as him it would be easy...he's not though!! We have reached new levels of tiredness but we love having 4, there always felt like an empty space at the table before.
