Un-babying the baby of the family

So, I know 4 kids (plus one extra 16 yo, but that was a whole other thread) is not classed as a large-large family, but I figure the end result is still the same.

How do you stop babying the last child? Mine is now 9 and it feels like I have recently had an epiphany and realised how babied he has been, particularly compared to our first born. His closest sibling is only 1 year older and I seem to expect a whole lot more from them.

Any advice?!
