Little Edstone?
They have a pool, games room, and lots of outside space in the woods.
Handy for York, Harrogate and Whitby for days out.

we stayed in a lovely house in whitby it was a town house and had a games room for the children and a small yard out back, but it was literally a few mins walk to the beach and arcades etc and there was plenty to do locally, they provided highchair, travel cot etc for our baby dd. the one issue was some steep stairs down into the basement which was the kitchen but i think there was a travel stairgate of you could take your own/

games room had play station and games, pool table, some toys etc, there was a seperate sitting room and then double bed, more than big enough for two travel cots as well, and two smaller rooms one iwth 2 single beds and one with bunks. it was REALLY lovely and not too expensive either and we went int hes ummer holidays so we were seriously suprised at the price.

i will try and find a link, i still have their email somewhere i think :)

I can second the Whitby recommendation. We stay in a little cottage by the beach twice a year (May and August). Loads to do, great beach, little funfair, great fish and chips (try The Magpie) also a little outdoors paddling pool, with tramplines, go-carts etc. Kids love the pirate ship trips too.You also have the dreaded Flamingo land not far in Malton Hmm. I had 4dcs last year, 5 now Grin, and am really looking forward to going again this year. We suggested gently trying a different location but dcs were up in arms!

Hi I know I?m more than likely too late and you have already found somewhere, but we always book private home direct. We?ve done it for over four years now and saved our self a bomb. There is no way we could have afforded to d it any other way. That?s abroad and in the UK. We?ve had weekends away in the UK and booked two holidays to Disney Florida. We always use www.ownersrentals.com holiday rentals by owners. They are good and we always ask for discount and get it, even in the school holidays if you book well in advance. Just food for thought in the future.

Diege, I am following this thread with great interest as was about to ask the same thing! Trying to find a good cottage in Whitby, just wondered whether you could tell me the name of the one you use, by the beach? Struggling to find anywhere suitable/ nice...
Thanks!
