I always wanted 4 but when dd1 was 4 when we would have been ttc dh became v ill so number 3 was postponed. I never got used to that although obviously caring for dh and our 2 dcs was the priority. Fortunately he is doing really well and we had dd2 last year. She is a delight and I'm so happy. Had a dreadful pregnancy with sickness so really thought that she'd be our last one. However today I had a pang when I saw a newborn and I think we will ttc again later this year. Dh saw me looking at the wee girl and stated that if we have a third girl he'd like to try again until we get a ds2. Eek. All I could think of was the theme tune to the Waltons!

Crikey thats amazing!!!

God bless your dh :)

Mine is refusing to TTC dc4! Tho I have the kids on my side as they want a baby sister Grin.
We have dd age 6y, ds1 aged 4y9m, & ds2 aged 9m2w.

I would love another baby be it a boy or girl (admittedly swinging more towards girl, purely for even numbers :))

cherrypie - hope he comes round. When dd2 was very about 5 months old dh told me he really hadn't wanted another one at all and felt he was just too old for the baby stage again. So they can change their mind! This is the first time another has been discussed in such a positive way. But I had never considered 5 or more. Dh is a sahd so if he thinks 5 is feasible - who am I to argue?

Well I'm certainly hoping for a turnaround :). We're both young yet, I'm 26 and dh is 24 - our family started by accident, otherwise we wouldn't have grown up quite so quickly. With my youngest being 9m old I want him to have a playmate to grow up with, like my eldest 2 did. DD and DS1 absolutely adore their baby brother but they get bored that he can't really play with them, yet. But by the time he can play with them they'll be into something else.

Gotta think of a way to get dh to agree. Bribery isn't off the cards yet....Grin

Can't imagine having 5dc either, and can't imagine dh being a SAHD either - he's more the work-a-holic type, I'm happy to be the SAHM tho :).

When are you thinking of TTC?

Not until I've lost the post baby weight. And the pre baby I'm a lazy heifer who hasn't exercised in years weight. Hopefully be at target by the autumn. Then all systems are go. I'm 38 so might not happen anyway and really don't think there's any chance of fitting in 2 more babies before the clock goes off. Let's hope dc4 is a boy for dh's sake. I wouldn't care either way actually.
