Room sharers - Cot to bed transition

Just thought I'd put this here as you lovely posters probably have experience with this sort of thing. I've got 3 lovely little ones. Girl 6, boy 5 and boy nearly 2. The first two have never been able to share. They party all night long or wake really early just keen to start playing. That's not a problem because the two boys share really well so far but the youngest one has just climbed out of his cot. I know this is fluke and just because he took his grow bag but somewhere in the near future he may do it again so I'll be training him to stay in a bed. How do you do it when they share. Is it just the same old return to bed. I'm hoping that DS aged 5 will just stay put but my worst fear is that they will start playing but I don't think they have the same dynamics as no. 1 and 2 have.

Thanks in advance.

Poppet.

We have all 3 in one room - its a 3 bed but it just works better to have them in the same space, I have 3 ds's (4.5yrs, 3yrs and 20 months) last week we took the side off ds3's cot bed as he was climbing out and I was worried about him falling. Anyway had a nightmare week of rapid return, ds2 was joining in to start with and they were both just loittering at the top of the stairs but I just matched them back to bed each time, popped each one in bed and left.
ds1 ignored the whole thing and stayed put.
ds2 gave up after about 3 days
ds3 has gone down tonight no problem but not going to say we didn't have week of battle

so for us its been kind of ok, means that when ds3 wakes in night he can find us but saves me having to get out of bed - initially anyway... he hasn't slept as well through the night since the side came off tho, he tends to get out in the night and then wander and doesn't find his way back - it was better last night, couple of quick wake ups and 6am start...

This is the first time I'm had a 20month and no new born which is probably why I'm more aware that he is up in night

dd1 is 6 and dd2 is 22mths,(they share a room) 3 mths ago dd2 climbed out of her cot and fell from the top breaking her arm!! so had no choice but to take sides off the cot has took until recently to get the sleeping right, tried everything from rapid return to controlled crying, think she has just given up so given in and now sleeps perfectly from 7pm till 7am (hoping it stays this way)
