I've received a small windfall of £500. Rather than just fritter it away like I usually do I would like to invest it, and then potentially add a small amount to it monthly (say £20-30).
I've got a mortgage, 14 years left but planning to overpay to pay it off sooner. I have a SIPP, and am contributing to a local government pension scheme. I'm 52 and would like to retire/not depend on full time employment sooner rather than later (although I am obviously not expecting a £500 investment to help with that one ). My attitude to risk is 'medium'....
Any ideas?
