I bought a condo in a small development which is rapidly changing to rentals as more owners choose to rent out. I am wondering what this 50%+ change to renting instead of living in their properties is likely to do to the value , maintenance, condo board , AGM participation etc. Is this development likely to become a poorer investment as a result of this change from owners living in their properties to renting them , from the POV of a person planning to live there for a long time and then sell.
