Hi,

So I'm very new to mumsnet and just these types of forums in general but taking the plunge 🙈

My husband and I have been trying to conceive with our 2nd child for nearly 17 months (I have PCOS and Endometriosis) we were just about to have our final appt with my consultant at the fertility clinic to talk through our test results and decide on a plan for moving forward (which I believe was starting clomid best case scenario) but it was cancelled due to covid. Deep down I did expect this but it has still hit me hard. :(

Yesterday though I experienced sharp pain on the right side of my pelvis (CD20) I immediately thought this was ovulation pain as any of the months I ovulate I have been able to feel this similar pain. I know this may sound fairly accurate, however I have VERY irregular and unreliable cycles they range from 44 days to last year my longest was 116 days. So yesterday when i felt this pain that i am fairly familliar with and got my hopes up a little bit as we have DTD every other day for 6 days leading up to sand day of suspected OV. The last 3 month's my cycles have been between 44 and 52 days (which is actually very good for me) so according to my app, which I have been using religiously 🤣 my fertile window should be next week, but could it be that my body is actually playing ball this month and really letting me in with a chance this cycle? I'm scared to get my hopes up.

I'm sorry for the massive ramble I hope this makes sense and maybe someone has experienced something similar. Thanks in advance :)

Look up a enzyme supplement called serrapeptase - it's supposed to be amazing for endo and gets rid of any scar tissue in your womb or on your ovaries and has even unblocked women's tubes! DR Best brand is the best. I just ordered some, I have pcos, not sure about blocked tubes however this enzyme is really helpful when trying to conceive. I bought it on ebay today can send you the link?

I was diagnosed with both PCOS and endo. Clomid will not address the underlying problem of the endo, the usual way this is removed is via Keyhole surgery.

The endo needs to be treated as well as PCOS, I would ask the consultant about the possibility of you undergoing ovarian diathermy surgery. Apart from lasering the cystic follicles on your ovaries and kickstart ovulation it could also be used to laser away the endometriosis.

A “normal” cycle is a cycle length of between 21 and 35 days or with less than 4 days of variation from month to month.

You need up to date test results particularly with regards to your level of LH in comparison to FSH. A day 2 test would give you those levels.
I would think sadly your body is trying and failing to ovulate. I used to get pains like you describe. Your H should be tested as well re any potential male factor issues, it is little point in solely testing you.

Hi there! Also a PCOS and endo sufferer. Been TTC for 2 years but because of my weight have gotten the run around of, "nothing we can do". So I lost 4 stone and mysteriously in November last year they could suddenly help me. I was just waiting for AF to come in April to have an HSG test but it never appeared. Turns out I was 6 weeks pregnant! Unfortunately the pregnancy has just ended with a missed miscarriage but I'm so grateful it managed to even happen when we've been so convinced it's never going to. I don't have any advice obviously as I've not been down the clomid route yet but I just wanted to give you some hope. My cycle is 35/40 days and I still managed to fall pregnant. Best of luck for your journey 🤞

Thanks fornyour replies. I've had both pcos and Endo since a teen it was always the endo that caused me the most pain and problems I've had surgery etc to remove but it just came back. A lot of symptoms of endo really subsided when I had my daughter 3 years ago from then it's been like night and day compared to years of issues. I had an HSG test in Feb to check tubes for blockages but with appointment cancelled I haven't got results yet, my hubby has also had his tests and all is good with him. It's the PCOS that definitely seems to be the main problem since my daughter, causing extremely irregular cycles and annovulation. I've been told that my consultant will call within 7-10 days of appointment to get my recent updated results so that will definitely help but with not being able to take steps forward I fee miles away. That why I was so surprised and honestly hopeful when I felt the ovulation pain. The reason I was so certain is was that is I have this same pain every cycle I ovulate and when I look back at when I've noted the exact pain before in my app it was 13/14 days before AF. So I will remain cautiously hopefully that it was intact ovulation pain as I originally thought. Time will tell I suppose. Even if AF comes in 12 days instead of BFP I'll at least know that i was right about the pain 🤣

@Stabal I'm sorry to hear of your recent loss, from personal experience I know the pain and disappointment this causes. Wishing you all the best in your joutney also.
