Hello ladies

I am looking to proceed with IVF. I have no children and am 37. Unfortunately my first pregnancy ended this year with a TFMR due to trisomy 21. That was a natural conception however I suffer from PCOS and it took nearly two year to get pregnant. I was with the NHS but due to my natural conception I was removed from future appointments for NHS funded programmes. Rather then waiting again on the NHS waiting lists I decide to go private but would ideally like recommendations. I have looked into Create and wonder if the natural IVF was a success story for you? Any advice and support would be welcomed.

I'm with Create but haven't had success yet but absolutely not due to lack of trying on the clinics part. I've found them very personable, friendly compassionate and caring, you don't feel like a walking blank cheque. ( I went to a few open evenings for clinics and didn't get the same feeling about those)

When I got pregnant naturally in between IVF cycles they did everything they could to prevent a miscarriage when the recurrent miscarriage clinic I am a patient of weren't interested and when I suspected a second ectopic and was fobbed off by my hospital Create scanned me straight away and called an ambulance when an ectopic was found

In terms of the cycles themselves I've done short protocol mild IVF twice and then have been doing natural modified IVF for the last two (part of a 3 cycle package and freeze as you go transferring on the last collection). My embryo quality has massively improved by doing a more natural protocol. Also you are only on drugs for around 7-9 days which is great x

I am in a similar place as you @ChicaXS cannot afford to wait for nhs to open and will be going private with either Create or LWC and still looking into this do any feedback would be welcome. I had appointments in both and both seemed caring and professional.

By the way Create have got some really good discounted costs for new patients at the moment £2.5k per cycle

Hello! I have just come across this whilst looking for information on Create. We have male factor and our first cycle failed due to no fertilisation 😞 they think it was due to sperm quality so we’re looking at everything we can to try and improve this. I love the idea that Create use a mild form of IVF and that they focus on quality rather than quantity, I’m thinking this could be the way forward for us? I’m not looking to get loads of eggs from a cycle, and much prefer the idea of having a few good quality eggs instead if possible. OP did you come across any other information? X

@meganlouise

For comparison on my cycles

Mild IVF - cycle 1 - 14 eggs - 3 average blastocysts. Fertilisation rate less than 30%

Mild IVF - cycle 2 - 14 eggs - 2 average quality blastocysts. Fertilisation rate less than 30%

3 transfers - 2 BFN and 1 ruptured ectopic

Natural modified IVF - cycle 2 - 2 eggs - 2 top quality blastocysts. 100% fertilisation

Natural modified IVF - cycle 3 - 7 eggs - 2 top quality blastocysts. 100% fertilisation

My 4 blastocysts are currently frozen as I'm doing a 3 cycle package and don't transfer until after the 3rd one.

So you can see for me my egg quality and fertilisation rate hugely increased by doing a more natural protocol. Even though significantly less eggs I still got the same number of blastocysts at the end but these were also graded higher x

Thank you ladies! This is really helpful. I too am interested in natural modified with ICSI as my DH has a low morphology and I suffer from one blocked tube with PCOS. They are doing some great deals at the moment too so I booked a virtual consultation for a weeks time.

My other worry with create are hidden fees, this happens a lot when going private we’re costs are added when you least expect it. Also the waiting list due to covid-19, I do hope we can get started as soon as the lockdown is lifted.

@ChicaXS
create we're really upfront with me - they do you price forecasts before you start and actually they talked me out of lots of "extras" I'd read about as they said there was no proof they worked. As long as you read all the information and the small print eg fees if you have to abandon a cycle due to not progressing then through 4 cycles with them I haven't seen any hidden costs. They've refunded straight away things I didn't need and actually "let me off" lots of costs for extra scans etc

So I had my first consultation over zoom today with create and I’m not a fan. The consultant was 30 minutes late but forgiven as he was very good and informative.

Where it went downhill was when the clinical advisor came into play, she kept interrupting us and was quite short with us. It didn’t give me a warm or fuzzy feeling. Also what was advertised online was not what we expected when we were given prices, she kept interrupting us when we challenged it.

When I asked when we can start treatment, again she kept interrupting us and kept telling us to start treatment. I get covid is spinning all in the air but at least be sympathetic with prospective dates

It’s a shame as I was excited to use them but now hesitating to do so as I’m not sure they are the one.

I’m researching LWC - any good?

@ChicaXS I have had appointments in both and felt LWC was more personal despite the fact I had fears a lot of great feedback about Create too. I just got a better feeling but this maybe thanks to the couple of people who have spoken to me. Create was a bit chaotic, I needed to follow up on emails but maybe due to staff being furloughed. I am sure each place is struggling and trying to stay on top. We have decided to go ahead with LWC.
