I'm joining!

I need to lose 3 stone :(. It's crept on over the last 3 years.

I am under a fertility clinic and was due to have a Hycosy but due to COVID-19 this has been put on pause.

Hello lovely ladies!

I had a BMI of 26 and I started slimming world last year and lost a stone and a half. Only had another half to go before I was at my goal weight. I found slimming world great although it was a massive mind set change as I’m a massive emotional eater.

Unfortunately I’ve put on about 10 pounds in the last few weeks because life has been a bit crazy and I’ve eaten A LOT of chocolate. I know that when I start back on slimming world though I will lose it again quickly as it just worked so well. I think it’s a great diet for PCOS as it’s high protein but low sugar and sugar is the worst thing for PCOS.

I have loads of the cookbooks as well so can give ideas for adapting recipes if anyone wants it and can share how many syns are in different foods and which foods are speeed foods and free foods if anyone wants to know 😊

Hello ladies! Please can I join? I was due to have an internal scan prior to lockdown because the docs think I have PCOS so just trying to eat healthier and keep my carb intake down! Lockdown is tricky.. I seem to be wandering to the fridge for a "look" every now and then... Grin

Hi ladies hows everyone getting on?
I've lost 2lbs this week doing slimming world at home. Would probably have done better if it wasn't for the Easter egg that seduced me..
I've started my period today (first one after March miscarriage) and feeling really positive about trying again next month.

What are your ttc stories? We're trying to conceive baby2 naturally after fertility drugs for baby 1.

@leodot wow that was such great results with slimming world last year! And you can do it again! I have PCOS too and find that SW is the only diet I can stick too. Anything else too rigid I lose weight then pile it all back on. PCOS sucks

I’m the same. Other diets just haven’t worked for me. I used to do a lot more exercise as well but the last few months I’ve just not been keeping up with it. I need to get myself back on track!

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage but glad you’re feeling positive about this month ❤️.

My story is ttc number 1 for 21 months. Been on clomid and metformin for two cycles and had confirmed ovulation with my first cycle which was amazing 😊.

@leodot I did slimming world 1st pregnancy too until 3rd trimester where up all I wanted to do was eat cheese burgers, but it worked pretty well before that.
Wow congratulations thats so exciting. I got pregnant on cycle 3 with Clomid and metformin so stay positive. You WILL have a 2021 baby!!

@faithandcake Hopefully so! 😊 It’s nice to hear success stories. I dread to think what cravings I would have. I get food fads anyway where I eat one thing loads for about two weeks then I’m bored of it 😂

Just to give hope I had a TFMR and BMI was about 26 -I lost two stone in 5 months then got pregnant that month! Been trying for 1yr since TFMR

The My Fitness Pal app is great the main thing I did was reduce my portion sizes weighed stuff at first so I knew how much I was eating, switched to brown pasta and rice and switched to lower calorie options for cheese and bread etc! Just small changes I could stick to -I also have PCOS - just don't cut out major food groups coz you won't be able to stick to that! Also drastic diets like eating salad everyday I know for me wasn't realistic!
PCOS causes insulin resistance so you really need to limit your sugar intake -for me it was no seconds, sweets or snacks and smaller portions only! I relaxed it a bit after the first few weeks but you find you don't need to eat as much!
The first two weeks are hard coz I felt hungry all the time but it took my mind off TTC! Xx

I'd like to join you lovely ladies. We need to have a second egg collection which was put on hold due to the coronavirus. Should have started down-regulation but hoping we maybe able to start next month now. Would love to loose at least half a stone before then to be at the the same weight after loosing weight for our first egg collection two summers ago. We need PGD so need to have embryos frozen and tested before transfer. Fell pregnant with first transfer which ended in a missed miscarriage found at 13 weeks then the second transfer was BFN. I'm a bit late to join but have started to try properly to loose weight in the last few days. Trying to cut the calories and run as much as possible. Have ran for the last 3 days so I've started well but keeping it going is going to be a challenge! Best of luck ladies x

I'd like to join please. I was trying to get to a bmi of 30 per nhs requirements. Was almost there and lockdown happened. Now I've put on 4kg since lockdown and it's only been 6 weeks!

Anyway hoping to loose that and more to get to at least 28bmi. I'm currently 76kg and I want to get to 62kg. Huge goal I know but it's what I want to get to.

Today I went for a run but my eating was terrible. Start again tomorrow

Best advise to loose weight that works every time: zip the lip.
