The last two weeks have been a dark place for us. From getting my first ever positive test from the help of Clomid. ( the happiest day ever )
To having abnormal bleeding , fainting and having a emergency operation to remove my ectopic baby and my whole tube 😓
The dr said this would lower my fertilely by about 10% I also have pcos . ( hence the help from Clomid ) how long until we can try again, after I feel better ? I’m not waiting any time . Also how long does the bleeding last ?
When it rains ..... it pours for me .

I'm sorry OP 💐

Were you given the methotrexate injection as part of your ectopic treatment? If so you have to wait 3 months before trying to get pregnant as the drug is dangerous to a new pregnancy

If not then it's waiting for your incisions to heal - I've had 2 ruptured ectopics and now lost both tubes. I would say it probably took at least 8-12 weeks for the incisions to heal and for me to feel comfortable trying to get pregnant

Doctors say it doesn't decrease fertility that much but my experience and from what I've seen in support groups it's depends on which tube you lost - most people's dominant ovary is their right one - so may take longer to get pregnant if you've lost the right tube . Doctors say the other ovary can sweep across and collect the opposite released egg but this is the exception rather than norm and depends on lots of things like how free moving your remaining tube is and scar tissue etc. But on a positive note lots of women do get pregnant after an ectopic xx

Sorry forgot about the bleeding - you should pass the deciduous caste (uterine lining) in a few days - maybe in one go so don't freak out and then it will be like a slightly heavier period. X

No I didn’t have the methotrexate injection , i was very badly bleeding so they removed straight away ( my right tube ) I got pregnant with the help from Clomid . Which I will continue using for 5 more months & hopefully get pregnant again (praying ) if not then it will be ivf . Thankyou for replying xx

Hi!

I’ve pcos too and I don’t ovulate. After 2 years of trying I decided to take clomid And I got pregnant... but it was ectopic and they removed my left tube in january... I want to try with clomid again but I’m a little bit scared because with clomid there is a possibility of ectopic pregnancies.... I’m so scared to loose the last tube too... did you start to take it again? I would like to try again soon
