IVF/ICSI/FET with previous failures

Anyone going for another round in spite previous failures and wanting some company?

Just started tablets for a FET today, this will be my 5th transfer of embryos 7 and 8 and I'm yet to have a whiff of a BFP unfortunately. My last egg collection was a nightmare, they perforated my uterus to get the eggs they could and could only get 3 out. 2 fertilised and they were frozen on day 1, so no clue if they are any good at all. But I'm going to try.

Anyone got any tips for being positive in the face of overwhelming dread?

I'll join you! I was supposed to start 5th egg collection earlier this week but my estrogen levels are low so have scan tomorrow to confirm if i can start stims or not (bit worried as that will be cycle day 8 and never started to late before)

I had 3 transfers last year - 2 BFN and 1 ruptured ectopic (my 2nd) where I lost my last tube

I've been freezing embryos from the last two cycles and will then transfer in twos hopefully whatever I get after this next collection x

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted welcome! I'm sorry you're here but I'm glad of the company 😊 how are you feeling starting again? 5 egg collections, you're my hero! I've only managed 3 but will be paying for 2 more cycles once this FET's done so I'll get there soon enough.

Are you changing anything this time? What's the rationale for freeze alls and transferring later? I'm not doing anything dramatic this time as it's only a FET, no alcohol or caffeine and just pregnacare multivitamin.

Hope the scan is good news tomorrow. Day 8 does seem late, the latest I've started stims is day 3 so far

Thanks!

I did 2 individual cycles of mild stim last year but then decided as last ditch effort to sign up to a 3 cycle package of natural modified and you have to freeze from the first 2 collections as part of that!

My egg quality is rubbish which is why we have stripped back the drugs hugely and so far from the 2 collections I've done I had much better fertilisation rates and blastocyst quality x

Ahh that makes sense then, do you know what the rationale is for doing the egg collections with no transfers? My understanding is that there arent any advantages to fresh/frozen transfers - does your clinic think otherwise?

I think I have issues with egg quality, of the 3 egg collections I've had I've only had 3 blasts from the first one. The second got 2 poor quality day 3 and third the two PN's I have currently in the freezer.

How was the scan today?
