Sorry if this sounds a silly one. Am on my second cycle of Clomid and had my follicle scan today. They were very positive and could see the dominant follicle and the lady said she thinks ovulation took place yesterday (typical as hubby has been away for 4 nights). Silly question now but should you still see the egg on the ultrasound or once it's been released from the follicle is that it then 'gone' ? Just intrigued as to whether we may have still caught it in time if we did it today or whether we missed our chance this cycle ?
Just dtd in case. If they said 'follicle', there's the suggestion you could catch it. If they said 'corpus luteum cyst' you've missed it...
You can't see the actual egg on a scan. It's far too small.
Ah fantastic thanks so much that makes sense
