My egg collection is on Thursday morning I could do the clinic and ask but don’t want to sound dumb 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I know I can’t have any food or liquids after a certain time. I’m just wondering when can I wash my hair and shower is it ok to do that today? Then just wash with water tomorow night? Probably the stupidest question but I just get stressed about what I can/can’t do.

I wanted to dye my hair but have put it off all through this cycle 😄 not knowing whether I can or not.

My clinic advise to have a bath/shower on the morning of collection.
At this point, i probably wouldnt dye my hair, but thats more personal preference.

As for moisturising today, of course you can! I probably wouldnt on collection day though

Good luck

Yes, have a shower/bath on the morning of egg collection. You'll feel better if you're clean. I can't remember exactly, but I think they usually advise no perfumes or strong scents. And no nail polish. But I definitely use my normal deodorant and facial moisturiser in the morning before heading to the clinic.

Good luck, it's nerve wracking the first time Smile

I just washed with water on the morning of collection. We were advised not to wear anything scented which included perfume, aftershave and I didn't wear deodorant to be on the safe side. So basically no products on the day!

Same here - shower in the morning so nice clean hair and everything, but then no products at all, not even deodorant. And I wash all of the clothes that I'm planning to wear without detergent so there isn't a smell left on my skin. I do this for ET day too. Mostly because I spray my perfume on my clothes and so they always have a scent to them.

Why no perfume? I'm starting IVF again after a long break & don't remember ever being told this before

My clinic told me and my husband nothing scented at all because the embryos are very sensitive to scent. I looked it up and it's a thing - it can affect them if there are perfume molecules in the air apparently.
