Experiences of Lubion and Prednisolone?

I am going into my third embryo transfer next cycle (a double FET).

For my previous transfers (1 single fresh – BFN; 1 double FET – CP) I was on Progynova tablets (4 per day) and Cyclogest pessaries (3 per day).

This third time round my consultant is adding Lubion 25mg BD, Prednisolone 10mg BD, and aspirin 75mg OD. I'd be really grateful to hear your experiences of Lubion and Prednislone: how did they make you feel?

@kell2126 I had my third ET on Friday (FET) and the clinic has me on lubion, prednisone and inhixa (for blood thinning)

Lubion is fine - it's extra progesterone, so I have more of the progesterone symptoms - bloating, gassy. It's just one injection in the evening.

The prednisone is okay, but can stop you sleeping. I take one tablet in the morning and one around 5pm and I find that I sleep better than if I took it later.

I started taking the inhixa on the transfer day. It's the same as an aspirin apparently but in injectable form.

I've found the injections to be more painful that the egg collection drugs! I guess because I am more sensitive as I'm on high doses of oestrogen and progesterone.

Thanks a million @HJF84 – that's all really useful to know., esp. about the prednisone and sleeping

When did you have to start taking the Lubion and Prednisone?

Very best of luck for your OTD – hopefully third time's a charm! xx

Thanks @kell2126 That's what I keep telling myself

I started taking both on day zero. I was taking 10mg of prednisone AM and another PM, until the day before transfer, when I reduced it to 5mg in the AM and 5mg in the PM. I also suffer from eczema, and my skin is clearing up. So if anything, it's taught me my eczema is something my body is reacting to.

Lubion is the same amount every day from day zero. And if I get a BFP I'll need to continue taking it until I'm 12 weeks.

@kell2126 I've also noticed that I've been really thirsty. Only really started noticing it yesterday so I wonder if it's the inhixa? I didn't have this with my other ETs

I was super thirsty after my last cycle (I was preggers, but ended in CP). So much so that I'd wake up in the morning feeling like you do when you've drunk too much wine the night before (but obvs I was off the sauce at that point, and was also drinking a shitload of water). I hope this is a good sign for you too!!! x

@kell2126 I'm only 3dp5dt so it's probably too early to be thinking it's a symptom, but I'd love to think you are right!

I've been getting night sweats too, and feeling hot, which I had last time, but not the crazy thirst! Nothing seems to quench it at the moment.

When is your ET?

@kell2126 I'm good! I've been researching into the symptoms a bit more, and with a medicated FET cycle, all the symptoms I'm feeling would be the meds and not anything else, which is different to the other two cycles, where I was symptom spotting all the time! I'm 7dp today, resisting the urge to test (I don't have any tests anyway!) but TBH I'm not feeling 'pregnant' if you know what I mean?
