What are the chances for getting pregnant at 42 naturally ?

Low. Over 40 research indicates 70% of your eggs are likely to be genetically abnormal. Even with IVF over the age of 43 the % chance of success drops from around 30% to just 3%

BUT I'm sure you'll get lots of women replying saying they are in their 40s and got pregnant first try........it's the exception rather than the norm

I'm not saying it's impossible but it WILL take longer

Friend had her 3rd at 42/43

Tho several Mc between 2&3 child. Maybe due to eggs. Who knows

So yes can happen naturally

Best thing is to check amh and fsh to give you a ballpark about your fertility

Agree with the pp, it's not impossible, but be mentally prepared that you may have multiple miscarriages before you are successful. If you are ovulating and menstruating regularly then you are still in with a chance. Do you have any children already? As in do you know that there are no underlying fertility issues aside from age?
