We spent in the region of 6k then about 4k in just living as I wanted time off work to relax and eat well so ate out for breakfast dinner and tea most days x

Somewhere between £25-30k in all. But also about £5k in the middle on a blow out holiday after an unsuccessful cycle to escape from the festive period.

Bookiewook Tue 31-Dec-19 21:13:23

Just under £15k on one cycle (freeze all) and two transfers. Eye watering and so annoying how some people only have to look at each other and get pregnant. Imagine the handbags and holidays one could buy!!!

FortyFacedFuckers Tue 31-Dec-19 21:15:59

I spent around 40K

DameSylvieKrin Tue 31-Dec-19 21:19:34

Total of 10k on 4 cycles, some funded.

I don’t know, but I would guess at about 70-80k. Probably should have kept track really, but it would have been too depressing.

twinkledag Tue 31-Dec-19 21:22:42

@earl £70k 😱

AliceAbsolum Wed 01-Jan-20 10:28:46

It's cost around 35k. But DH and I have spent about 8k (NHS and parents funded the rest)

Lalla525 Wed 01-Jan-20 10:40:15

16k so far.

Lauren83 Wed 01-Jan-20 15:48:54

About 10k on private but luckily lived in an area that funded 3 NHS

fool11 Wed 01-Jan-20 16:08:19

Around £7k on private, 1cycle.

Blondeshavemorefun Wed 01-Jan-20 17:56:46

£27k on 5 private to get our one and only ever bfp - who is 3 in March

3 fresh cycles and 2 fet

Pleaseletitbeme Wed 01-Jan-20 22:34:03

Will be about £35k when we go again.
Nothing at all to show for it.

Didthatreallyhappen2 Thu 02-Jan-20 12:45:13

About £10k I think

Balloondog Thu 02-Jan-20 14:26:10

£30K - might as well have burned it or had a holiday of a lifetime!

LASH38 Thu 02-Jan-20 14:38:01

We spent £45k but also had x3 NHS cycles.

And some people argue about who is paying for a pre-sex meal 🙄

GrumpyHoonMain Thu 02-Jan-20 14:46:50

35k but as it did result in a baby we are considering doing it all again for number 2

Gribbie Thu 02-Jan-20 14:51:46

2 Nhs funded cycles.
3 private cycles, plus one frozen transfer.
Needed genetic testing so each cycle was around £10k. Not counting incidental costs (missing work, hotel costs etc).

Gribbie Thu 02-Jan-20 14:52:30

Have got 2 kids from it though. One from the nhs cycles and one from the paid cycles.

ZeroOneOneTwoThree Thu 02-Jan-20 14:59:03

We had our one funded round of IVF, which ended up costing us about £2k because of the clinic location.

Then instead of IVF we saw a private urologist consultant, specialising in male infertility (and our diagnosis), spent somewhere in the region of £5k and luckily had a bfp.

Wowzers some numbers are eye watering and pray you have/will have something to show for it. The things we do for a family! I have spent about £11k and currently 9 weeks pregnant so fingers crossed that I appear to have gotten lucky
