Hi ladies, I would be grateful if you could share your low AMH protocols - specifically were you given anything in addition to stims to boost response? I'd like to try a third and final cycle so want to be trying all that we can xx

I'm trying natural modified IVF this time - start injections tomorrow - this is usually specially for women with very very low AMH but my egg quality isn't great so clinic have said not to bother with another full stim cycle forcing my body to produce eggs it would never have chosen itself so this time my protocol is

Cycle day 3 - start 150ml Bemfola AND 2x tablets of tamoxifen (usually used in breast cancer treatment but my clinic getting great results using this as a substitute for clomid)

Bemfola injections every OTHER DAY Which is the big change to my previous cycles rather than daily stims and then only add a cetrotide in later on

Will only be on medication for 9 days!

My friend on this protocol got 4 top quality blastocysts - I'm hoping for at least 2 x

Thank you @itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted, I had thought about asking about natural modified at my follow up in a couple of weeks - will definitely do so. Best of luck for your cycle!!

@Wesstywoo
That's what I'd like to know! After 1sr failed cycle. Only 2 eggs retrieved as poor responder.
I was in menopur 225 increased to 300!
Read that people have been on much higher doses.?
I've read also use of dexamethasone can help to aid absorption?!

I'm trying to get a list of things to ask consultant but sure things may be limited as on NHS.
Considering co-en10 supplement! You taking any supplements?
My AMH is 5.1 at 33

@TTCRose yes both cycles I've done I've been on 450 menopur - first cycle I got 4 eggs but only egg 1 on the second cycle (1 year apart though). They had put me on DHEA for quality but I also take ubiquinol. I've also switched back to proceive max for the multivitamin as I got my only ever natural conception whilst taking that (although sadly resulted in MC)

TTCRose thats interesting. My AMH was 14 or 15 and the consultant put me straight on 300 menopur, which I read is quite a high dose. Hmm

Hey, I think you already know this, my most successful cycle was dhea for 4 months prior, 450 menopur, with dexamethasone everyday of stims which helps ovaries absorb more. Wishing you loads of positivity for your next cycle x

@WorriedButterfly it's most probably your post I'd read previously! It's mad there is such a discrepancy between clinics and between private/nhs!

Thank you @WorriedButterfly - I will certainly be asking about this drug!

I was so surprised how much the dose of menopur made a difference in my first cycle I had 3 eggs on 450, second cycle 1 egg 350, then 5 eggs on 450 in the 3rd cycle - with AMH of 1.3. How are you doing @TTCRose?

Hi @itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted how did your cycle go? Clinic are not overly optimistic about short protocol for me so I'm now looking at natural modified a bit more closely xx

@Lalla525 can I ask how many eggs you got? Sorry to jump on your post op without any advice to your question!
My amh is 15 and I’m only 28 currently stimming on 225 menopur, very worried I won’t get many eggs x
