We were going to do embro adoption but just got an email today to say they don’t do that? When we discussed it with the specialist?
Really confused now we got to waste some more time going to see the specialist again? (I’m 41) We still don’t know how much it is we got an approximate price sent out to us ? Grrr I have to wait but want a baby now lol

I know someone who was going to do this in the Czech Republic. Things seemed to be all geared up for this option. Would travelling be possible?

I’m feeling a bit guilty and weird about wanting this so much and all of a sudden quickly. Nervous laugh I had copied it from a conversation I was having with my best friend

We are now short of funds and if it totals to any more than £3500 we can not go any further.

It's harder to do in the U.K. - at my clinic my husband has to sign a form saying he would be ok for our embryos to be used in the event of his death but there is no such form for me to sign to enable my husband to use the embryos in another woman in the event of my death

  • so basically we can't donate them either

I also don't think there is much of a market for it here - we've all fought so hard to make blastocysts and have children that to imagine another couple raising a biological child of another couple (and potentially full sibling to their own kids) is a morally uncomfortable subject I guess x
