How many days post transfer did you get a positive?

I have just finished my first round of ICSI and had a 5 day transfer early Saturday morning.
I know its different for everyone and their is no exact science.
But for fun, and to keep me half sane during the TWW, wondering how many days past a 5 day transfer people got their positive results?

At 8dp5dt there was a pretty strong line on a FRER and I would imagine it would have been there at 7dp5dt. I wouldn't have used any other test, FRER always have given me a clear results, no confusion. Good luck.

7dp5dt for me. I tested everyday after that.

It's a very difficult time. Fingers crossed for you.

5 d p 6dt. I knew I was pregnant, so that night I tested. I had bad hyperemesis in my first pregnancy and as soon as I woke up being sick 5days pt I knew I was pregnant.

Thanks everyone.
It was only yesterday and I'm already climbing the walls.
Trying to be very zen and relaxed while furiously googling and analysing every twinge.
It's so difficult wondering if anything will make a difference or if really is down to egg quality and luck.
Thanks for all your responses.
My husband wants to wait until official test date but I know I'll be working my way through my stash of internet cheapies. No doubt driving myself even more crazy staring at imagined lines.
I'm actually relatively sane person in other circumstances. 🙈

I got a very, very faint positive on a FRER in the afternoon of 4dp5dt.

Me too, @Persipan, and then an unmistakeable positive 5dp5dt.

Post ET is soooo hard - time stretches and it's all you can think about! Good luck, @Hopefully84!

I tested at 5 days (BFN, which continued for subsequent day 9,14 and OTD blood test).

One thing to bear in mind is that once you get a negative, your ‘hope bubble’ is burst. You’ll wonder if you’ve tested too early. But deep down you know. As and when we do our next cycle I’m definitely going to wait at least 10 days.

I think everyone is different. I found with my BFN cycle that testing early helped me to come to terms with it gradually and with my BFP cycles it gave me the good news early.

Just think about how you personally are and do what works for you.

I would definitely recommend waiting it out, as someone said above, if you test too early and it’s a negative then your hope bubble is burst, but hi still go ‘maybe tomorrow’. I got a strong line 9dp5dt FET recently. I know it is hard but try and wait as long as you can do you can celebrate a strong line, or just digest the BFN if you get it. Good luck

8 days post 5 day transfer of 2 frozen embryos - very strong positive on a FRER. One of my 9 week old twins is now asleep on my chest, the other in her bouncy chair! Good luck

Thanks again for all your message. I'm definitely in the prefer to know camp, really trying not to get my hopes up. So would just like to know either way so I can start to process and deal with it. It's the not knowing and the living in hope that really gets to me. Feel like I'm talking myself into it and then out of it. Hate the feeling of being in limbo. Perhaps I'll wait until day 7 so I know the trigger shot will be all gone.

@WorriedButterfly it feels like an age doesn't it. Good luck to you. Here's hoping for a calm and relaxing week. 😉🤣

How are you getting on @Hopefully84? Are you still holding off?

Report
Hopefully84 · 17/12/2019 13:36

I'm out unfortunately. OTD is tomorrow but have been testing since 6dpt.
We have one guy in the freezer so hopefully we get going with that ASAP.
How about yourself?

Sorry to hear that, take care of yourself. Good luck for 2020. Still holding off, OTD is Friday. No symptoms apart from very sore ovaries which is likely to be from the progesterone. X
