Does anyone have any insight as to why I would get my period before I even get to 2ww test day? I thought the 800mg of cyclogest pessaries was supposed to hold off the period until after test day? They tested my progesterone on transfer day and it was supposedly really high at 462. Does everyone else make it to test day without their period or is this common?

When I had my last FET (which eventually ended in a CP), I had an implantation bleed at 6dp5dt. I Was testing positive on an HPT after it.
I eventually got my period at 11dp5dt.
This was on an unmedicated cycle.
Not sure if that helps, as I wasn’t on cyclogest for that cycle.

Sorry, so what I meant to say is, could it be an implantation bleed?

I started bleeding 2dp5dt on one of my attempts. I was gutted. They changed my protocol after that. But I never got a positive test. In all 5 transfers I bled before the test date, despite taking progesterone. It was so disappointing - I never even got the chance to pee on a stick.

@Smidge001 What did they change about your protocol?

@NeelaBlueThanks so much for your reply. I would be hugely surprised if it was an implantation bleed as it feels exactly like a period.
What was your implantation bleed like? How much blood if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, it was just like the start of a period (I even told my husband that I started my period), but then it just stopped that evening. And I had no further bleeding until my actual period started. So I put it down to an implantation bleed (especially as I got a faint line on an FRER the next morning).

I went from short to long protocol. Still bled way before the test date though (like a week) so I'm not convinced it made any difference. Apparently my progesterone levels were fine so I don't really understand it but then again I always get a minimum of a week spotting before my period starts anyway, so maybe it's just what my body does.

Well I had a positive blood test and Hcg level at 185. But I have had a full blown period. So now I am just confused.

Bleeding is coming on ivf pregnancies. So glad you've got the positive blood result. 😁

Congratulations! I came on here to say possible implantation bleed then saw your update. I had exactly this with DD2 (genuinely thought it was my period) and she is now a sleep refusing 4 month old.

What have your clinic said? Mine added injectable progesterone to my protocol, although you might not need that if your levels are high already

@Quartermaster A tentative thank you. My progesterone is low at 21. They want me to start lubion tomorrow. My clinic are wary like I am. I am going in for another HCG level on wednesday to see if it doubles. Yeah I genuinely thought it was my period. Full cramps and full bleed exactly like my usual period.

Well my hcg was 486 today and progesterone 54.4
It all sounds promising, was bleeding still this morning. I am hoping it has slowed and will stop now that I am taking lubion.

Thanks for the replies to my originally Angry post!
