Advice for round 3

I just had a failed FET, and am now looking at going into round 3 of IVF. We are incredibly lucky to have a son who was the result of our first fresh round, but my eggs and I now are obviously older as we have transferred 6 embryos but I keep miscarrying at the 6/7 week stage. As a result of this I had NK cell testing, found elevated levels and was on a treatment plan but didn’t get a chance to see if it made a difference as the last embryo didn’t start to implant. Here is my history -

Round 1 in 2015, age 36 - 3 embryos
Fresh transfer was a success
FET - 1 embryo did not survive, second was a chemical pregnancy

Round 2 in 2017, age 39 - 5 embryos
Fresh transfer was a miscarriage at 6 weeks
FET miscarriage at 7 weeks
FET double transfer miscarriage at 6 weeks
FET transfer (on prednisolone, clexane, intralipid infusion and PIO) BFN

My clinics advice is to just continue, they say we can make embryos and have got a good track record in getting pregnant, just not staying pregnant. And hopefully the killer cell treatment will help. But I feel like they just want our money and the toll of the miscarriages on my mental health has been huge, and I’m so scared that we are just setting ourselves up for more heartache.

Is there anything else I can/should do? I’ve just started taking ubiquinol. I wonder if we should even be looking at donor eggs if none of the last 6 embryos made it? Any advice much appreciated. Thankyou.

Hi OP
How are you? I have just come across your thread as I have a history of chemical pregnancy / miscarriage inc during ivf so my consultant has just suggested steroids for my final embryo transfers from this fresh cycle. I haven’t received my prescription yet so not sure of the exact treatment plan. I was advised that there was no way of testing for K cells so it would be really useful to hear about the test you had in case it’s something I could get at another clinic. I was also dissuaded from DE for my next fresh cycle on the grounds that we have a number of eggs and Blastocysts and they often implant. However from my perspective I’m not sure how many more losses I can go through and don’t think they factor this in! I feel this is most likely down to egg quality / age. I am currently looking into DE abroad and found the donor conception board on here really helpful.
