Hi there,

I have been ttc for the past year.

Have been on metformin 1000mg for two months and just upped to 2000mg per day.

Also just started Levothyroxine 25mg per day.

I also take maca tablets daily.

Anyone had any success with metformin and Levothyroxine to conceive and how long did it take you to conceive plus what was your doesage?

I’m feeling helpless and a failure, everyone around me falls pregnant very easily and it seems my body is constantly letting me down.
I am 30 years old.

Thanks for any replies.

so I take thyroxine for underactive thyroid, currently on 75mg, have had an underactive thyroid for 16 years now.

conceived my son super easily, we now have secondary infertility. but def not my thyroid that's the problem.

I'm assuming you have PCOS if you are taking metformin?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes I have PCOS - but no irregular periods or normal symptoms of PCOS that others complain of... so the cysts on my ovaries could be due to the hypothyroidism?

I’m taking 1500mg metformin daily only started 3 months ago. And I’m starting Levothyroxine tomorrow - my doctor has started me on 25mcg - is this an unusually small dose?

Do you think Levothyroxine helped you to conceive?
