High AMH low egg count

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and can help me get my head around it as I'm really confused.

We have just undergone our first round of IVF which failed.. unexplained..

Im 34 and my amh levels were high then expected for my age.. (alil above average) so nurse said a short cycle would be best for me.

First cycle started from day 3 of my period 11/09 and i was given menopur 150 followed by cetrotide to start 5 days after so on 16/09

I Had a Scan on 18/09 my ovary was hiding so went back on 20/09 and re scan on 23/09

My follicle count on average was good but not all made it over 10

They decided to carry on with Ec as i had 3 follicles bigger then 19s trigger shot was used on 23/09 and Ec on 25/09

Only 2 eggs were collected from right none from the left (disappointed and confused)
I'm devastated as with my numbers I had hoped for more to give us more chance that one will make it.

Neither of the 2 fertilised (we used sperm donor)

So Can anyone tell me if you have had good levels of everything but a poor response? And did you do the whole thing again and do anything differently and get a better result?

I am 35 and have low ovarian reserve and it turns out I'm also a poor responder to stims.

1st cycle- high dose, 450 Fostimon and the cetrotide; only two eggs collected, one mature. BFP but miscarried at 5w.

2nd cycle- did natural/ mild cycle ICSI with low dose stims, one fertilised egg but BFN.
They decided to do a mild cycle because clearly I don't produce many eggs even when drugs are thrown at me.

3rd cycle- did natural/ mild ICSI again. Previous times 10 days of stims but this time took about 15 days. Low and slow! 3 mature eggs collected, all fertilised. Did split transfer- one at 3 days and another transfer at 5 days.
Both stuck and now 10w pregnant with twins.

So there is hope for poor response. I had to adjust my expectations that I would never have many follicles or eggs.

I took a lot of supplements based on It Starts with the Egg. I also took a lot of time off to try and avoid stress for the last cycle. Also ate as much protein as I could.

Lastly, I had a lot of immune testing and the last cycle they also did IVIG for me. Previously only Intralipids.

Who knows what helped, but maybe it made a difference. Good luck!
