Progesterone

Does anyone know about progesterone levels?
After 2 failed cycles, whilst waiting to start stims for next cycle, I have a bfp. BUT had my progesterone tested today and it’s 15.3ng/ml which google tells me is very low for 5+3. I have had low progesterone on my last 2 cycles. I have stacks of tablets here that I could use but need some guidance - I have emailed the ivf clinic in Greece that I was treated at before but they have suggested I ask my UK gynae (I don’t have one!). Will have a midwife appt in 5 weeks but I’m worried I will miscarry before then.
Any suggestions/ anyone know about progesterone?!

If its low then I'd take the same amount that you took in the 2ww for ivf. But that's just me, I know its not the best option but I wouldn't risk it.

I and didn’t take any on the last 2 cycles (supported natural cycles and I think that was the problem). Might take 2 tonight and chase the clinic tomorrow. I assume it can do no harm to take some?!

How much would you take? 1 in the morning and 1 in the eve? I have managed to get a GP next thurs.....clinic in Greece refused to answer the question as this is a natural not ivf pregnancy :(. Feel like i’m stuck between all sorts of doctors who won’t help!

Sorry, I misread. My dd was ivf. You could try calling a maternity unit or out of hours perhaps as Thursday is a long way off.

I'm currently taking progesterone had 2 early losses around 5.5 weeks. I'm now 14 weeks and will take the progesterone until I'm 16 weeks.

I believe I started taking them around 5 weeks, twice per day, 200mg each pessary.

Hope it helps x

@cittigirl thank you. I tried the maternity unit at Kings yesterday and they wouldnt help (didn’t have the test done there/ they haven’t yet processed my referral so I’m not on their system). Grr!
@ineedanotherholiday thank you. Just opened my boxes and they say three times a day (I assume 1 tablet 3 times a day). Think I might try 2 per day (one in the morning one in the eve).
Thanks for all your help. It’s a bloody joke that I can’t get any drs to help but hey.

Fascinating. Good to know I'm not harming my chances if I forget a dose of something (when I do IVF next year). I think most of it is down to the quality of the embryo and the endometrium (for most women). Thanks for sharing x
