Happy to try anything

Hi, I've been trying for over a year now and I'm at the point where I'll try anything. We have just this month started using Conceive plus and I was wondering if anyone else had tried it? Also is there anything else (not Doctors as we can't until the 2 year mark) people have tried that they think is worth a shot. Thanks

The obvious first steps are things like, don't smoke, make sure your BMI is in a healthy range, just generally look after yourselves.

Beyond that, how much money are you prepared to throw at the problem? If you can afford to, you might want to have a few investigations done privately, to check the basics - things like, are you definitely ovulating? Are your tubes clear? How's your partner's sperm? But, the extent to which it makes sense to do these things would, I think, be influenced by other factors (your age, for example).

Best of luck!

Would you consider a home sperm sample test? Not sure how reliable they are. I have heard other people using them? But if it did throw back a problem could that then cut out the 2 years wait problem?

I tppp coq10 when ttc. It’s supposed to help with egg quality. Although we had ivf in the end but that’s due to a Male factor infertility problem. But when we have egg retrieval we got a good number. Not sure if the supplements helped but worth a go?

Thank you both, I'll look into them both.

Consider a fertility mot privately. I wish I'd done it, I was left on an NHS wl for 3 years being told everything was fine... It wasn't and now we are having to use donor eggs. Time generally is not on your side with fertility and the NHS will try to cut corners wherever possible.

Go private for basic fertility tests. I wish I’d done it at 6 month mark - my husbands sperm count and my fsh meant we were eligible fir nhs ivf after 6 months trying but obviously didn’t happen til 1 year as they won’t do the tests before then.....

Also my fsh means we are short on time (despite me only being 31 at time of testing). Wish I’d known earlier!

Among the less obvious things I tried when trying to get pregnant was coq10 and some cough medicine that is supposed to help with cervical mucus - I think it needs to contain guaifenesin. I think this last one is probably stretching the boundaries of common sense, but I was desperate.

Ditto for CoQ10 or ubiquinol, and a water and fat-soluble form absorbs better.
Good luck!

coq10
I couldn't find the brand I'd read was best, but got 200mg from H and B.
I've reintroduced a little meat, as a youtuber I follow said that helped her.
We have got the preconceive tablets too
Considering acupuncture.
