Sep-Oct IVF/ICSI/FET

Hi ladies

I'm aiming for a FET either the beginning of Sept or Oct. I've not decided yet. We had IVF in April and got 9 frosties but the transfer was cancelled due to over stimulation. This was after 3 years of TTCing with one miscarriage. It was a relief to do so well when we had unexplained infertility, although I'm now 39. We have a 4 year old DD who was conceived on the first try.

I've really enjoyed the weight being lifted with having some embryos in the freezer, my age was very worrying. I'll either go ahead in Sept or Oct, not sure yet. I want to be as well as I can and at the moment I am facing my dad's first anniversary the end of this month so I may leave it until Oct as I expect I will be quite upset, the grief has been really hard.

I guess I'm just looking for buddies who are thinking of Sept and Oct for the treatment to chat to.

Wishing everyone the best of luck on this hard journey.

Hi @LuciaSpain
I was keeping an eye out for a new thread! I’m sorry to hear about your dad -I can see how having IVF over that period could be very difficult for you.

I also did a fresh round in April and have Frosties. I had mild OHSS and developed a polyp so had to do a FET in june -sadly that ended in a miscarriage at 5 and half weeks. Had a scan this week and it looked like I was about to ovulate -so fingers crossed I get my period (or I don’t -but that would be a miracle?! ) in two weeks and will downreg on that cycle -I think all being well transfer looks set for end of Sep/beg of Oct. I’m a teacher so I’m enjoying having a relaxed summer of eating and drinking before buckling down and prepping in September.

Congrats on your DD-when you say she was conceived on your first try -do you mean IVF? I’m ttc no. 1 and hoping second time lucky. It’s my last NHS free one so after this need to start paying. I have quite a few Frosties so if I can bear it /pay for it my plan is to keep putting them in quickly!

Wondering about your name- Do you live in Spain? If so -how lovely! Best of luck to you.

Hi Mouse

I'm very sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it really is awful.

I have very much being enjoying my summer, I probably need to knock it off with the wine but I've really enjoyed the weight being lifted off my shoulders with ttcing, it's good to have frosties banked so to speak.

Yes I am in Spain. We've paid nearly €6k already.

We conceived DD first time with nothing, I barely looked at DH and I was pregnant. It's baffling what has happened, I can only put it down to my age really, as I was 34 conceiving DD and tried again at 36. We did well in the IVF so far so I'm worried now about implantation being our issue. We are hoping to put in 2 frosties and hope we are lucky to have a sticky bean.

I wish you the best of luck too, this is such an up and down journey..

Hi ladies I'm looking to do another full cycle in September - freeze all cycle in January ended in BFN FET1 and ruptured ectopic FET2 - I've got no tubes left now so IVF is our only option

I'll be doing short protocol mild ivf with Create and also PGS testing due to history of recurrent miscarriage

Welcome itwasalovely, wishing you every success with the next round.

I had the short protocol too. For the FET I am starting on Femera and I will be having progesterone injections, have any of you been on those injections? I didn't find the injecting under the skin for the stimulation too bad but I've heard these injections are tough..

I'm still unsure whether to go for the transfer the end of this month or next.
