First FET! Successful stories?

Hi all. We started IVF in March this year. We've been trying for 2 years without a whiff of a second line! The fresh transfer took but unfortunately MC at 5 weeks.

I've today started the medication for FET of a lovely little 5 day embryo. Scan in 12 days to check my lining and take addition medication.

Anyone been in the same situation with a better outcome on FET? x

Didn't want to read and run. I had the opposite, success with fresh and two failed frozen. But my clinic said there is no difference in success rates with either option. Think it's just a lottery!

Good luck! Thanks

I did a frozen transfer in June and now 6 weeks pregnant. I had a bleed this weekend but a scan showed a little heartbeat so just holding on. I struggled with the medication for the frozen transfer in how it made me feel but it did what it was supposed to do.

FET have slightly better success rates overall because the trigger shot can prevent implantation in some women. That’s why some clinics only offer FETs. That plus the fact that you got pregnant with IVF before means your chances of getting pregnant again will be increased.

Yep success from my first frozen transfer, I’m currently 11wks 6days pregnant. We had a short stims cycle over Christmas last year and egg collection was in January which unfortunately ended in a freeze all due to OHSS and luckily we had 5 eggs frozen from the cycle and all of them were frozen at day 2.

Our FET was in May, using 2 embryos and obviously one has stuck around and my 12 week scan is on Monday. We didn’t think it would work first time or the fact all our embryos were only day 2’s. It’s been such a long hard 2 year journey for us and I can completely sympathise and relate to how you must be feeling, it’s like a complete rollercoaster, I wish you all luck in the world with your journey! X
