Anxiety short protocol 2 weeks time(5 Posts)
Hi, I'm due to start short protocol in around 2 weeks but I feel like I've given up before it's even started can no shake the feeling that's it's not going to work I'm also not likely to have any to freeze due to my amh and won't be able to afford another round I feel so down anyone else felt like this and it worked? Thanks in advance xx
I understand how you feel yes. My amh was horrific (less 2) and I was older (37). But it did work on first cycle. So it’s possible. I just tried to remain stoical about it all and carry on normally as much as possible. So don’t think there is no hope, otherwise the medical team wouldn’t allow the protocol to start. Good luck
I was crying down the phone to my mum 4dp5dt convinced the cycle had failed... got a faint bfp the next day.
Everyone's different. But how you're feeling has zero impact on your chances of success.
I found accupuncture during my cycle very helpful (I went every day during stims!!!). It helped me feel like I was doing everything I could (even though I am sure most of it had nothing to do with success. It was luck of the draw.
Thank you both of you my amh is 11.9 I'm 30, it's lovely hearing success stories congratulations to both of you xx
Ah, OP, this is all very normal to feel this way, sorry to say. It’s an incredibly stressful process. Awful, isn’t it?
Do you have any emotional support? Are you seeing a counsellor or therapist? Doing any mind/body relaxation stuff? It would help to keep the stress manageable, which will not only help you mentally, but will help keep your hormones in the right balance.
I found seeing a specialist fertility hypnotherapist really helpful while having fertility treatment. I felt like I was about to burst with the stress before that, but she really helped me keep much calmer. I conceived that cycle, though whether that was coincidence I can’t say, obviously, though there are studies that show it does increase conception rates.
