Hysteroscopy advice

I'm booked in for a one stop treatment hysteroscopy in August under local anesthetic. I do have fibroids so am expecting they may try to remove them at the appointment.

My leaflet / letter doesn't mention abstaining from sex leading up to the procedure. I had my hsg last week and it was plastered everywhere to not risk being pregnant so we had a cycle off ttc.

Did you abstain / would you recommend that I do for the procedure?

Thanks in advance!

If that's the same as a HyCoSy scan (?) then yes no sex allowed until after the procedure. There's a risk they could flush the egg to somewhere it shouldn't be.

Hi, I had a hysteroscopy and was told sex was a no no.

Thank you both. I thought it would be. Strange how the leaflet doesn't say when the hsg was very clear.
