Hi lovely ladies, can you help me about the best way to get my IVF prescription the cheapest. Am I right in thinking using the clinics pharmacy is not clever? What did you all do? It’s all such a minefield!!

Apparently ASDA sell them at cost so they should be cheaper there

That’s what I thought I’d seen, and did people call up or just go into store? Sorry for the stupid questions, there’s information overload going on today!

With Asda can you bin the used meds and sharpies? I’m thinking of using them too but my clinic have said to check whether Asda will take the used needles back

I got my meds from asda, they were helpful but it was a bit of a faff as had to go in and get a quote, then go back and order (took ages as they had to phone round different drug companies to source them) then go to pick up whereas if I had used Stork direct through my clinic it would have been delivered to my house.

The asda quote only ended up being £50 cheaper than stork and it didn't include sharps bin or all the needles I needed so then had to figure out what I needed and get that too whereas that would have been automatically included through Stork.

It probably depends what drugs you need, on some of them asda were the cheapest but on others Stork were actually cheaper. I guess the online pharmacies that specialise in these drugs can buy in bulk so actually prices are quite competitive

Also bear in mind if you don't go through your clinic they will probably charge you for a private prescription so you need to factor that in.

It's worth getting quotes but it took some of them a while to get back to me which is not ideal when you need to get everything ordered and ready for a certain date!

Anyway that is just my experience but hope it's helpful. Next time I'm just going direct through the clinic!
