So I've pretty much got my period after months on time and recently my doctor said I had POI. Would this mean I can't get pregnant . I've been on the pill this month and have got my period . I don't get it tho . Why do I get my period on the pill if I can't get pregnant .

Me and my boyfriend of 3 years want to get pregnant ourself I don't want a donor or adopt it's just I want my own child .

My doctor was very unclear though does this mean I can't ever get pregnant or it's hard for me to

The pill gives you a false withdrawal bleed.

How was the POF diagnosed ? I am sorry your doctor was not more clear.

They made me drink loads of water and then done a scan and then she said to me my ovaries don't work properly . False bleed ?

I'm sorry I'm so confused she did not explain this properly

here is some clear information

Are you being managed by a fertility specialist ?

Is the scan the only investigation you have had ?

She didn't give me the option of ivf she said a surrogate mother or adoption . However I'm not sure she said surrogate mother either . So I'm guessing I can't get pregnant because I have no eggs ?

No I had an operation when I was younger and the side effect of that has been my ovaries damaged . My doctor has been monitoring me every 6 months since but she always says my hormone levels are normal I'm very confused

She did suggest that but I just wanted to know the women who gave the egg do they know you use the egg.

I'm just so scared of my baby being taken because the woman decides it was her egg or something . I know it sounds stupid

Have a look at www.dcnetwork.org donor conception network, there are lots of things to discuss/consider with the use of donor eggs, counselling should be offered by your clinic.
If you are ttc why are you taking the pill?

Sorry didnt answer your question, yes the amazing donor knows eggs have been used but not by who, they can't take child from you - this is all uk by the way.

Aw that's awful huni, don't worry there are plenty out there like me.. I gave away 6 of mine and my husbands embryos. They effectively are our children but really they are not and never will be! I would never expect anything. There are rules around this stuff. I would start the conversation with your specialist, write down everything you want to say so you feel u have all the information you need when u have left. Don't worry too much, it's an awful situation but this will work out. I've got two lovely boys and neither me or my husband are fertile, it's took a while but we have what we need and I'm sure the same will be true for you x

The pill has a protective effect if oestrogen is low. A form of hormone replacement therapy, in other words
