How old is my blastocyst??

Hi
So I had a FET on Saturday - my blastocyst was graded as a 3BA - it was frozen early on day 4 as it reached blastocyst stage early......so my question is if I am working out when to test (yes I known it's naughty!) am I 6dp4dt today or 6dp3dt????

You are 7dp a 4dt. I would wait annother 2-3 days atleast for a more reliable result...... saying that ....I always test 7dp a 5dt and i always get an accurate (faint) result so i would chance it with your first pee of the day tomorrow! (or even a cheeky one today) P.S i have never heard of them reaching blast early - Mine are mostly day 6rs. FX for you! Good luck Smile

Just wanted to say good luck. Flowers
My hatching blastocyst (DS6) was looking at his baby albums this morning and loved the pic of him as a few cells. His mind was slightly blown, one day I will have to explain sex to him as currently he only understands IVF Grin

Oh god, I’d be testing twice a day from now regardless. No self control for testing.

Thanks everyone - tested this morning (in addition to the last 3 days!) and BFN - feeling pretty disappointed. I have zero symptoms so thinking this cycle has failed x

It might not be over yet! What kind of test did you use today? Early Response?
I had a possitive early response test (with first pee of the day) and a negative digital test untill 9dp a 5dt for each of mine (IVF,Multiple FET, Reccurent MC, Fyi: I have no children). Any earlier than today you most defo would have had a negative as your hormones wouldnt be high enough. x

@ScottishJaggyNettle thanks for the positive thoughts! It was a FRER first wee of the day and stark white - I've had recurrent miscarriages too (4) plus a near fatal ectopic (I'm lucky enough to have 1 DC though) and have always tested positive by now although they've always been natural pregnancies. This is my first IVF ICSI transfer (from frozen due to OHSS) and I guess I've just been on google too much reading about all these people getting BFPs at 5dpt x

custard Im sorry to hear that Flowers Im sure that they will be keeping an eye on you to either see a BFP or if AF arrives. If AF dosent arrive and its still negative they should scan you just to make sure everything is ok. Especialy with a previous ectopic. OHSS is horrid! Have you any Blasts left frozen for a FET ? x

@ScottishJaggyNettle thank you, I've got another 3BA and 5BC frozen so that's something to hold on to.....when you tested positive at 9dpt was that the first time you tested or did you test for several days before hand and only got a BFP on that day with FRER??

custard Thats great that you have frosties! Did you have testing for the recurrent MC?

I tested with a FRER 7dp5dt and had a BFP. I also tested with a digital on the same day that was BFN. The digital only showed a possitive at 9dp5dt. I started testing with both at 7dp5dt and continued testing once a week untill my MC's.
I was told that sometimes it wont show up untill the day of missed period (9dp5dt) so you still have a few days left yet ! (14days from fertilisation) x

I've had all the tests for recurrent mc that the NHS will do and everything came back normal - haven't done NK cell testing but may think about that if none of these Frosties stick 😢 xx

Its good that they came back clear then but its not really a comfort when they say "bad luck". FX that in a few days time you get that sticky BFP Smile xx

Just a thought @custardtarts have you had any genetic tests for translocations causing miscarriage etc?

ScottishJaggyNettle · 17/03/2019 15:40

Gin is translocations the same as chromosone testing ? (If not i will need to add it to my list of things to ask the DR about next time im in) xx

@ScottishJaggyNettle I imagine it would be found under chromosome tests.

Thanks everyone for their replies - still BFN - my OTD is tomorrow so 99% sure this first cycle has failed. Luckily we have 2 more frozen so hopefully I can go straight into a another transfer once I get my period

I haven't had any chromosome testing - I asked my clinic and they said to try a round without PGS before we elect to spend another £3k - we ll see how the next transfer goes but I think I will ask them to transfer the 2 together x
