I want to ask how you were offered Clomid?

Did you go through doctor?

Been trying for 18 months and I had a early miscarriage. I asked my doctor for clomid and he basically just ignored my request and told me no.

Feeling fed up. I'd love another baby but partner doesn't want to keep trying after end of 2020 so if it doesn't happen before then, that's it.

Please help xx

Doctor did some blood tests and referred me for a scan. They then referred me to the fertility clinic at the local hospital, it was then who gave me Clomid

Hope that helps

I was prescribed clomid after referral to hospital for checks after pcos diagnosed by scan. Multiple tests on myself and dh, ovarian diathermy and THEN clomid. I don't think they just dish it out.

Hi I’ve been prescribed it today... but been told not to start taking it until I’ve had a scan on day 1 of my period.... so maybe not for another few weeks or so...I got given it by my private clinic the GP via nhs wasn’t much help. Good luck

Are you ovulating? Clomid can be prescribed if you are not, which is usually checked with a progesterone test on day 21 of a standard cycle, mid way through your luteal phase. It can be detrimental to your lining so it's not handed out unless there's a good reason, and usually for a maximum of a few months.
